EOTC at Tahuna reaches new heights

Pūrākaunui - Long Beach - Year 8 classes have been out to the climbing face and have challenged themselves on some pretty tough climbs.

It has been a mixed bag with weather stopping a couple of classes from being able to go and have their climbing experiences. These will be undertaken in term 4 on our catch up days.

The classes were split into 3 groups this year and students enjoyed more time on the wall grafting their way to the top.

Fantastic to see the confidence develop in many of our students and especially cool to hear the really positive encouragement that the kids gave each other.

A huge thanks to every parent that came to assist and also to the teachers who make the day such a fun educational experience. Also, a huge thanks to Tim and Ben from Dunedin Climbing for the new learnings and skills that have been developed.
