Tirohanga - Day 3

Tramp. Clean. Walls

a tramp through the bush behind Camp Tirohanga. It was a great way to start the day, get some exercise and set us up for our final day on camp.

We played some games and then got stuck into an awesome breakfast, with eggs (how you like them) and hot milo. From here it was all about the clean up and the students did not disappoint with their keenness to help, display responsibility and their work ethic.

After everything was packed up, vacuumed, swept, wiped, mopped and rinsed the students had time for free time (gaga ball was very popular) before morning tea and then tackling the Three Wall Challenge. It was amazing to see the class come together and encourage and support each other over these huge walls (the last one is around 15 feet high!). So much challenge and success (in all its forms).

What a fantastic camp! So proud of our tamariki and a massive thank you to all the parents who helped: Trina Horne (Connor's mum), Mel Stevenson (Leo's mum), Mike Sharp (Milo's dad), Davy Wooffindin (Max's dad), Alex Gilks (Leo's dad) and Hazel Silva (Ada's mum) - we couldn't have done it without you!

This camp experience has really helped to gel our school whānau together, make new friendships and set us up for the learning journey ahead.
