Camp Tirohanga - The Block (Bivi Edition)
Written by Logan Wilson.
At camp we made bivis. Bivies are huts made out of sticks for fun or you can sleep in them. We did a competition to see who could build the best bivi. There were 3 teams. So the competition began and each team began construction in their areas. Team 3 made their bivi out of a giant fallen down tree. Team 2 found a huge log and laid it on a tree. Team 3 used 3 trees and used them as pillars. In the end team 1 had many holes in the walls and had what they called a "sunroof" and if it rained you would get hypothermia. Team 2 were the winners because it was big, well insulated and looked cool. Team 3's hut was giant. The front wall was good but the back was not. There was another small group who made a hut that looked like a dog Kennel. So there you have it, Team 2 won Team 1 came in second and Team 3 in came 3rd.
