Daffodil Day Success!

Our 2024 Daffodil Day fundraising efforts at Tahuna were possibly our biggest yet!

A huge thanks to everybody for their support of Tahuna's 2024 Daffodil Day fundraiser for the Cancer Society.

This is one of the fundraisers run by the Tahuna School Council during the year. This year we were determined to make a big success of this fundraiser and we're delighted with the results.

We took a multi-pronged approach to our fundraising efforts:

• during the week running up to Daffodil Day, school councillors sold pin-on daffodils and ribbons in return for donations

• on Daffodil Day, Mrs. Scott worked with a team of councillors and House Leaders to make themed cupcakes - these sold out in about five minutes!

• we ran a Casual Friday with a yellow theme and the School Council supplied some prizes for some of the many best-dressed

• for the first time, this year we ordered in some of the fresh daffodils offered by the Cancer Society and sold them to Tahuna staff

• across these four areas we raised close to $1500 for the Cancer Society

Many thanks to our students for getting involved in the Casual Friday, to Mrs. Scott and her helpers for their efforts and to everyone who donated to this important cause.
