Tahuna Pantomimes

Creativity at its best!

Each and every class was given the same brief and our driving question was " How will we, as project managers, create and perform a pantomime for Pre-school and Year 1-2 students?"

Each class was given a "buddy" pre-school or new entrants class at our local Primary schools. Our students all visited their allocated class and asked a series of questions in order to determine favourite fairytales, Tv and Movie characters and songs, to name a few.

Tahuna students chose teams based on personal strengths and passions. We then had to write the scripts, design the costumes, sets and props, promote the pantomime and choose songs and choreography for our performances.

 We had experts in to give us feedback and we made changes as we went. What a joy to see that all of our audiences were delighted by the entertainment provided. 

There were Cinderellas, Elsas, Step sisters, Shreks, Little Pigs, Hogwarts characters, Paw Patrols, Spidermen, Batmen, Princes, Fairy Godmothers, Snow Whites, Sponge Bobs, Sonics and confident articulate narrators to name a few.

Every class did something different and engaged their audiences so well. What a wonderful opportunity for an outstanding display of creativity!

It was all go, we had three weeks of skill based lessons, five weeks to get it all together and we all did it!
