Thank You Team Tahuna
Kia ora koutou katoa. Firstly, thank you all for your support over what has been a very interesting first half of the year. Term 2 has gone really smoothly and I have been really impressed with the speed that students settled back into the routine of the school.
The drop off and pick ups at the various entrance / exit ways have been great and something that we wish to keep in place going into the future. Next term the exit times will be slightly later with the early group leaving at 3.05 pm and the later group at 3.10 pm.
Mid year Reports and Parent interviews - due to the break away from school caused by the COVID-19 lockdown and disruption to our programme we have decided not to have full mid year written reports instead having a more focused and comprehensive parent interview in Week 4 Term 3.
There will be a Student Led component as part of the interview process as well as teacher comments and feedback on achievement and attitude so far this year. Each Tahuna student will be following the same structure for the interviews, and families will have had a look prior to the time of interviews also. This will be a great opportunity for you to hear from your child along with the classroom teacher about student progress.
Interviews will be held on Tuesday the 11th.3.30 – 5.30 pm & 6.00 – 8.30 pm and Wednesday the 12th of August 3.30 – 5.30 pm.
Specialist Classes: Specialist teachers are also available over this period of interviews for students who have attended classes this year, or of whom have a strong interest in areas such as Music, Food and Textiles, Art, Digital Technologies, Hard Materials and Design Technology.
