Tahuna Representation at ANZAC Services

It was heart warming to have a small, but dedicated Tahuna representation march in the ANZAC Day Dawn parade and attend the service by the cenotaph, at the Queen's Gardens on ANZAC Day.

This moving commemoration was special for all involved and many commented on the exemplary behaviour of this particular group.

At 9:30am, Mereana Martin, from Room 10, walked alongside our mayor, Dave Cull, in the official party at the Anderson's Bay commemorations.  Mereana competently read the Ode in Te Reo and English, again making Tahuna very proud.

Having students attend and participate in these commemorations certainly enables an understanding an appreciation of what sacrifices previous generations have made, in order to enjoy our New Zealand today.
