What a Ride!

Room 7 campers off on their 3 day adventure at Tirohanga.

We had an amazing time at Tirohonga, which was no surprise! As we left school we knew that the weather was going to be good, there was going to be fun people and we're eating amazing 5-star food.....Yeah right!

The Wednesday walk wasn't too bad. It was a beautiful day, hot weather, no wind and lovely scenery. We walked for nearly 4 hours straight with a 10 minute turn around and by the end I couldn't actually believed we had done it.

Mr T was singing his crazy songs, the birds were joining in and I was getting so puffed. Luckily I had taken two water bottles because on the way back i really needed some and remembered about the second one - yay!

The food wasn't too bad either and we even got to cook it ourselves, so I guess the blame lies with me if it didn't taste good. Nachos in a pot, who would've thought!

Camp Poems

WATERSLIDE
Kids belting down the slide at a tremendous pace
As the rain dribbles down on my soap-smothered face
Not exactly the perfect day for the camp waterslide
But just suck it up and enjoy the ride
I sit at the top wondering why I said I'd race
but its hard to say no.
Your friends are threatening to chase
It took me half an hour to get the soapy grass out of my shorts
Man, I wish we had gone to a resort!
