Lit Quiz Nationals!
An amazing weekend in Te Whanganui A Tara/Wellington for the Lit Quiz Nationals.
After a couple of months of training we were ready to take on the best students in Aotearoa.
Our trip began at kura before heading out to the airport and our flight up to the capital.
Upon arrival, we headed to our accommodation, claimed our rooms and then tucked into some lunch. We then headed down Cuba St and Lambton Quay for some shopping and an amazing tour of the Houses Of Parliament. Lily was particularly impressed and thought the tour was the 'skibidi best... so sigma'. We then headed out to a yummy Mexican meal on Cuba Street.
After breakfast on Saturday we headed up the hill in a Cable Car and then checked out The Space Place and The Cable Car Museum.
Then it was time to head back down the hill, fuel up on food before getting to the National Library for the NZ Lit Quiz Final. The competition was tough with 17 of the best teams in the country. Our team performed really well, resulting in an 11th place finish.
We celebrated with some fizzy drinks and then headed out to complete a range of challenges around the streets of Wellington. Our final night was spent at a wonderful Japanese restaurant on Cuba Street.
A massive thank you to Leigh Carter for coming along as parent help and a HUGE congratulations to Riley McCracken, Lily Williams, Feidhlim Fogarty and Layla Wainwright - you made us all so proud!
