Candidate Statement August 2022

Kia ora koutou

My name is Rhys Wilson and I wish to stand again for the Tahuna Normal School Board. I am a current Board member and have been for the last4 years.

I take a strong interest and leadership role on the property portfolio. I am especially proud of the work that we have completed as a Board in this area. Most notably the 1.6 million dollar upgrade of the classroom spaces. I am also looking forward to supporting the school in the development of their future property plans

I have many skills to offer the Board and the community, but my expertise is in property management. I was a property school advisor for a number of years and I am currently lecturing in carpentry at Otago Polytechnic.

My wife, Jasmine and I currently have 2 daughters at Tahuna in Year 7 & 8 and my son went thru Tahuna 3 years ago.

In my spare time I like to travel, spend time with Family and Friends, playing twilight cricket and snowboarding.

If re-elected I look forward to continuing to serve the TNIS community.
