Check out our Pikitia that made it all the way to the North Island!
Students from the classes in Onerāhi Primary receive gifts from Dunedin
To celebrate our new relationship with Onerāhi in Whangarei, students from Tahuna sent copies of our pictures for Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, along with a new Kemu to try and of course CHOCOLATE!
For the month of Mahuru (September) all kura around Aotearoa were encouraged to Read, Listen and Speak in Te Reo Māori.
Classes at Tahuna did a range of activities in acknowledgement and it was great to hear our tamariki engaging in conversation using Te Reo Māori.
Although we farewell our friends in Whangarei, we aim to reconnect in the future and look forward to this happening in 2021 and beyond.
No reira, ngā mihi nui ki a koutou katoa!
