Specialist Areas
Students have all completed their first rotation of specialist subjects at Tahuna.Have a look through at photos of some amazing finished products.
Visual Art:
End of Term One photos of Artwork produced from Yr 8 students showing their creative Pixel Art and Yr 7 students showing their creative work using acrylic paint, watercolour pencils, sharpies and sketch pencils.
Music:
Term 1 has been a vibrant and successful start in the Tahuna music room. Year 7 students have made great progress learning to read and play rhythms, building a solid foundation in music literacy. Meanwhile, Year 8 students have embraced the energy of African drumming, developing their ensemble skills and exploring new cultural sounds. It's been a positive and engaging start to the year for all!
Food Technology:
It has been a hive of activity in the Food Tech room over the last few weeks. Year 8 students completed their four recipes from 'Around the World', including gelato, crepes, burritos, buenolos, tanghulu, and ratatouille. Year 7 students worked well to create finger foods and provide feedback to eachother, before successfully catering for the Tahuna Arts evening. Make sure you ask to see your child's learning journal on Google Classroom.
