Year 7 Camps

The Year 7 camps at Waiora concluded successfully last week. Over the past two weeks, the students had been challenging themselves with new activities such as abseiling, mountainbiking, archery, air rifles, team building and cooking.

It was great to see the children pushing themselves out of their comfort zone and having a go at all the activities. As teachers, we were proud of the children and the efforts they put in to have a successful camp. Well done to all those who slept in tents. Throughout the two weeks, there weren't many days that it didn't rain during the evening.

Cooking on the camp cookers was a highlight for many of the children, and the pancakes this year were outstanding, as the children mastered the camp cookers really well with fewer burnt pancakes this year!

The school acknowledges and appreciates the invaluable contributions of parent volunteers who assisted with activity supervision, meal preparation, and general camp support. Their assistance significantly contributed to the safe and efficient execution of the camp program.

Lost property from camp has been handed to the office.
