Sickness

Last year we had an issue with a flu bug that went through the camp. We are very keen to ensure this doesn't happen again.

Just like last year there are some nasty bugs circulating around the school. Our students are often getting run down at the end of a winter term too.

Last year we had one student withdraw from the trip on the Friday prior to us leaving. We would much rather that this happen than a student come along that is not 100%. The symptomatic student last year quickly passed on their bug and it was a pretty unpleasant time for the others who got sick.

We fully understand its a bit of a bummer to miss out but at the same time it is not fun at all to be that far away from home feeling awful.

Being asked to come to the ferry terminal in Bluff to collect your sick child is a bit of a nightmare too.
