Road Safety
With winter around the corner it is timely to remind you to take care when driving in the vicinity of the school as visibility, particularly in the mornings can be very difficult for motorists.
We constantly remind our students
to abide by sensible road safe rules and have staff present at the beginning
and end of the school day. We ask too that you reinforce the road rules with
your child, particularly if they are cycling, skateboarding or riding scooters to school.
All Tahuna students who ride their bikes, scooters or skateboards to school must wear High Vis vests which makes them highly visible, especially during the darker mornings and early evenings. High Vis Vests are available to all students who want them.
Skateboarders must get a Skateboarding Code of Conduct signed by their parent/ caregiver. A licence is issued and certain obligations accompany this. For any queries please contact Mrs Toa. Thank you for your support.
