Tahuna students dominant at Otago Hip Hop Regionals

Anika Strange, Georgia Divers, Safera Wintrup, Tessa Davey and Melody Buckby all bring medals home from Friday's Regional Champs.

Friday 2nd August saw over 21 crews from Dunedin Intermediates and High Schools competing in the Otago Hip Hop regionals - with Tahuna well represented. 

The Regional Champs were held at the Dunedin Town Hall and are a regional event with entrants between the ages of 10 and 18.

Safera Wintrup from the RASA Diamond crew took 1st place in the Primary/Intermediate Same Dance School section.

In the same section, Anika Strange and Georgia Divers took 2nd with the RASA Vision crew.

Melody Buckby, Tessa Davey and their Black and White Dance Studio ReGulaTe crew placed 3rd in the same section.

In other categories Tahuna was well represented by past students, many competing for their school crew or dance school.

It was an amazing night with some incredible talent on display!

Congratulations to Anika, Georgia, Safera, Melody and Tessa for excellent results in tough competition.
