Music Tahuna

Tahuna Normal Intermediate School is proud to offer a dedicated music suite equipped with fabulous instruments of all kinds.

Classroom music runs throughout the year and provides a wide range of practical music experiences for all students.

The programme includes djembe and marimba, ukuleles and taonga pūoro. Digital music and composition are always a hit, as is the unit on sound science.

The orchestra as well as the marimba band will gather on Fridays and commence in week 3.

Every year, Tahuna school joins in with the Dunedin Kiwileles Uke Jam, Otago Bandquest, Queen's High Junior Orchestra Day and other Dunedin wide events.
