Seat Donated to the Waihola Yacht Club

On Tuesday, 20th of March, Year 8 students from Room 4 donated a seat and plaque, on behalf of present and past Tahuna students who have spent time learning to sail with members of the Waihola Yact Club.

This gesture was inspired by the efforts of  instructors Christopher Hogg and Peter Cahill who recently passed away, but over many years, had taught  numerous Y8 Tahuna students about sailing.  Their sense of humour was enjoyed by all and their wee dog a delightful distraction for those not on the water.  Denise and Jim, who have also been life long instructors with the club, were honoured to receive our gift.  This was a very practical gesture from our students and being portable can be moved both in and out of the club rooms, depending on the weather.
