Pink Shirt Day is this Friday 17th May!
This one has crept up on us a wee bit but the Tahuna School Council wants to let everyone know that this Friday 17th May will be Pink Shirt Day at Tahuna.
Tahuna students have supported the Mental Health Foundation’s work through Pink Shirt Day for many years.
Friday will be a non-uniform day and students are encouraged to wear something pink if possible, even if it’s just a pink hair tie or pink socks. We’ll be giving out some prize bags of goodies to the top five best dressed. In addition, the top ten best dressed will earn points for their Houses. As always there are the official Pink Shirt Day t-shirts available at Cotton-On ($15 for kids’ sizes) but there’s absolutely no expectation that students need to get these.
Students are asked to bring a $2 koha on Friday if they can as this is one of our major charity fundraisers for the year.
