Year 8 News

It's been a super start to the term for our Year 8 cohort!

So far, we’ve had a fantastic open night where we showcased the best that Tahuna has to offer to the Year 6 students joining us in 2025! Many of our year 8 students were wonderful ambassadors for the school.

Coming up this term, our Year 8 teams will be visiting our contributing schools to demonstrate and teach a game or sport that they have been developing in their classes. This is part of our PBL Olympics focus for the term.

In the second half of the term, we will begin the Year 8 rock climbing at Long Beach. This has always been an awesome outing for our students, helping them to develop confidence and teamwork. Please be on the lookout for a classroom notice from your child's teacher with all of the important information and dates. To make this day the best it can be, we require a minimum of five parent helpers per class. Please let your classroom teacher know as soon as possible if you are able to support us.

By now, all of the high school open nights will have finished, and your child will be considering their next steps in their educational journey. If you have any questions about this next phase, please contact your potential high school directly so they can assist you through the process.

A huge thanks for your continued support so far. The second half of the year is going to fly by, so please encourage your child to make the most of their final two terms at Tahuna.

Let's go, Tahuna!
