Year 7s success

Year 7s preparing for the up-and-coming ki o rahi competition.

Term four traditionally focuses on our value of success and over the past two weeks the Year 7s have been doing their end-of-year testing. The Year 7s have produced some pleasing results and should be proud of their academic achievements this year. Check out some of the Year 7s repeating patterns they made as they were learning how to create a rule in Mathematics.

Our music and cultural groups are currently preparing for the end-of-year show. It is always a treat to see the children succeeding on the stage in dance, drama, and music. Well done to all those students who have learned a new instrument this year and are ready to perform.

The Year 7s are currently preparing for the up-and-coming ki o rahi and haka competitions to be held in week nine. Speed, agility, and strategy are all being taught as the children become more skillful at ki o rahi.

It has been wonderful visiting classrooms this week and seeing the students sharing their passion projects, students were sharing their love of cars, photography, a variety of countries, and sports. Congratulations Paige from Room 3 who shared her craft skills and prepared a lesson for the class to have a go at.

We will conclude the term with our Year 7 fun day on Monday the 11th of December.
