Principal News
Dear Parents
I have had the pleasure of reading 520 reports over the last week, and what struck me was the largely positive comments in the student section. It was very pleasing to see the large number of students who wrote about how much they were enjoying school and had set themselves meaningful goals for the remainder of the year.
You will receive your child's reports via email today. Please ensure that you book a parent-teacher interview for the first week of the next term. Thank you to the large number of parents who attended our mathematics evening on Wednesday. If you missed it, I have included the slide show in this article.
We have had some notable student success of late. Well done to all of the students who represented the school at the Oamaru Interchange. Your behaviour and attitude on the field were excellent, and you displayed our school values admirably.
A special congratulations to our amazing Robotics team of Thomas Ketu-McKenzie and Quintin Sime. As you may know, they won the national robotics competition and were invited to represent the school and New Zealand at an international tournament in the USA. They finished in the top third of over 100 teams at this event. This is a truly remarkable achievement.
We wish all students a safe and relaxing holiday, and we hope you get to spend some time together as a family over the mid-year break.
Kā mihi nui
