Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori @ Tahuna

The students and teachers of Tahuna had a range of activities to participate in over Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori.
Mrs Rouvi Zoomed classes to share a Whakatauki each day. A school Tohu went on a journey around Otepoti/Dunedin and the students had to guess where it was, and students were rewarded for using te reo Māori. Classes also sang Waiata and learned dances with a Te Reo Māori focus.
Many students earned prizes by entering the competitions. The beautiful artwork on display has been made into a book for visitors to the school to enjoy in the foyer.
We look forward to continuing our work over term 4 and building up to the Year 7 Marae Week, and Year 8 visit to Otakou marae.
