Snow day & Delay Start procedures

The recent couple of cold mornings has reminded us that winter is just around the corner!

Tahuna Normal Intermediate School will only have a delayed opening or close for the day as part of the Otago Primary Principals Association "All call" system.  A small group of principal's in conjunction with police, taxi's and other groups, decide whether Dunedin schools open late or close for the day due to snow.   

As soon as we find out we will let you know via our normal communication channels such as email, facebook and X (formally Twitter).  You can be the first to know by following https://twitter.com/oppasnow

Learning may be disrupted that day as some of our teachers live in the hills suburbs and may find it hard to get to school. As in all cases, you should assess your own risk, and if you don't feel it is safe to get your child to school, stay at home.
