On the 14th of August McKenzie Bryce travelled to Christchurch to compete in the Hyeon Mu New Zealand Open 2021 which is a Taekwondo tournament. McKenzie was awarded 1 bronze medal, 3 gold medals and a trophy for Best Individual Junior in Poomsae.

Room 13 and Team 4 have been working hard to understand what it would take to live sustainably on Mars. The combination of Research and Project work on Minecraft, Cardboard Construction and Spheros has built a solid foundation whilst on their Mission to the Red Planet.

In Design Tech the students are designing, building and creatively decorating mobile mars gardens. When finished these will be donated to the local schools and kindergartens.

Team 6 (rooms 9, 10, 11, 12) have been doing workshops together to explore different aspects to do with our Mission To Mars projects. These students were attempting to drop a payload (marble) onto a specific target, only using string a paper cup, paperclip and tape.

For our Mission to Mars focus this term we have been completing some STEAM workshops. Room 11 had a competition to see who could create the most successful straw and balloon rockets!

Stars on stage is a bi-annual event for all Dunedin schools. This event will be held at the Regent Theatre on Tuesday 2nd November at 7:00pm.

Our unique holiday opportuinities are focused on helping young people develop their skills while participating in activities they love! In October our Emotional Regulation 1:1 Intensives will be running in Dunedin.
