Music this term is focusing on digital music. Kids have been using a range of apps and processes to create music with a specific emotional focus. Music is then added to imagery which enhances the feel of their music.

Recently in New Zealand, we have become more aware of rehabilitating people from prison back into the community. There is an official process that must be undertaken so people in the community concerned are informed of the situation. This means that they can both be supportive and stay safe.

Long Beach Rock Climbing

Despite the cold weather this morning we managed to get the sports day finished. Lots of great results and plenty of smiles. Next week we send a team of over 100 students to South Zone. Holly and Abdul took out their respective races for the fastest girl and boy at Tahuna.

Stewart Island Camp a Big Success!

Tramp to Port William

Big day today with the extremely fit students making record time to Maori Beach and then on to Port William. We spent over an hour exploring the historical Maori Beach site before carrying on to Port William where the water taxi picked us up.

Ulva Island Visit

Awesome guided visit to Ulva Island with DOC Ranger Jen! We were lucky to see lots of the locals and learned heaps. We also visited Rakiura Museum and did an Treasure Hunt/ Orienteering activity. Off to Port William for our tramp tomorrow.

Fishing Called Off Today!

Easterly winds are not good for fishing charters at Stewart Island so today's programme was postponed. Unfortunately the forecast isn't looking any better. We might have to look for other ways to sample some Blue Cod.
