Piere Tapsell, an outstanding artist has gifted an amazing artwork to Tahuna to be used in school promotions. We really appreciate the hard work and hours of time he spent doing this. Piere shares the meaning of his design below.

After many years in the school office Mrs Chittock has decided to retire. Lots has changed in her time, first the abacus then calculators, computers and now iPads and drones! We will miss her cheery disposition and her exemplary phone ettiquette. Haere ra! Mrs Chittock all the best for the future.

Anna Grimaldi returned to school today to speak at the Sports Prizegiving and present the Shanks Family Trophies. Anna also signed her photo on the Wall of Fame. We are incredibly proud of her achievements and she gave a very interesting speech about her journey to Paralympic Gold.

Room 6 visited St Kilda Kindergarten as part of their picture book unit. Students read a selection of picture books to their kindy buddies and interviewed them about their favourite picture books.

Alex, Louis and Nick spent most of Wednesday testing the water and counting fish. Nets had been set the night before ready for the big count the next day. They caught 395 fish in total and thousands of invertebrates.The day had been very successful but there was still much work...

A tough learning curve for the team that played at Lincoln. The tournament was played at a fantastic venue with outstanding facilities. It took a couple of days to adapt to the high standard and conditions and the team showed excellent improvement.

Tonight we were hosted at Little Sister Cafe at Islington. A big thank you from the team for putting on an awesome meal for the boys! It was great to get away from Lincoln and enjoy your hospitality. Thanks Jane and Ben!

The boys were a little overawed today against our North Island opponents. We did show some good improvement but unfortunately our top order didn't fire in either game. Tomorrow is another day so hopefully we can get a few more runs on the board.

Sir Richard welcomed the boys to Lincoln at the opening ceremony. Jacob did his first duties as captain and introduced the team to the other players and officials.

We are now back from our trip and although results didn't go as well as we would of liked it was an amazing experience for the team. On the first day the team was a little overawed and we started a little slowly.
