Two kiwi authors/illustrators by the name of James Russell and Donovan Bixley came and talked to students at Tahuna about their past and their books. They told us about one series of their own books. Both of them had interesting book series.

In Week 3 of Term 4, ten Year 8 students were lucky enough to travel out to the Taieri Plains to take part in a riparian planting project. This was Phase 2 of a long-term project which was started by a group of Year 8 students in 2018.

On October 15th 18 students 2 teachers and 1 awesome parent headed to China for a 2 week educational tour. To promote cultural understanding and get to visit our sister schools in Zhengzhou and Nanjing.

Unfortunately the Lion Foundation is out of action this year at this time. The search to find another venue big enough to hold the school and parents (within our budget!) has proved unsuccessful. At this stage we may have a Year 7 prize giving earlier with a seperate Year 8...
