On the 8th of October 2017 I went with my team to represent Otago in the Under 13 Collier Cup. We flew to Christchurch, then Auckland and then took a van to Tauranga.

On October 14th and 15th I competed in the South Island Secondary School Mountain Biking Champs held at Signal Hill here in Dunedin. I was entered in the Under 13 Downhill, Super D and the Cross country.

In the first week of the holidays there was a South Island rugby competition held here in Dunedin. There was a good representation of Tahuna students.

Congratulations to Nikhil, Isabella and Mei who won our year 7 speech contest held last Friday. The year 7's did very well presenting a variety of speech topics such as Climate Change, Blob Fish, Food, Clothing and motivation.

Although less students enrolled for the internationally renowned ICAS Exams this year the results showed a huge improvement. Emma Tasker and Ray Ma achieved High Distinctions!

350 students from the Otakou Mandarin Cluster attended the growing event that is Chinese Immersion day on October 18th 2017.

Athletics day was held on Friday, 20th of October. A chance for our four houses to battle it out for house points and a chance to qualify for South Zones.

Last term, we (Tehya and Ngaio) travelled to Alexandra to trial for 13th and 14th grade National Age group for Lower South Island rep girls.

Tahuna A waterpolo team entered into the South Island tournament over the weekend. We were faced playing teams all over the South Island, in a bid to win a trophy.
